What makes us unique is our family values
This company is owned by the family of J. W. Bud Bird, who started his private business career in 1958 with the founding of J. W. Bird and Company Limited. That company, also known as Bird Stairs Limited, is now owned entirely by its senior managers. Bird Holdings Ltd. separately has carried on with real estate management and other new business investments for many years.

Paralleling his business career, Mr. Bird has held elected office at all three levels of government, having served as Mayor of Fredericton from 1969 to 1974; as Member of the New Brunswick Legislature and Minister of Natural Resources from 1978 to 1982; and as Member of Parliament for Fredericton York Sunbury from 1988 to 1993. His background provides a unique blend of business and political experience and expertise.
Over our fifty year history, we have successfully applied the concept of investment partnership to a number of enterprises in which we have directly or indirectly shared a partial ownership interest with other investors and operators. Included among those have been such companies as Atlantic Building Cleaning Limited, Xplornet Communications and Enbridge Gas New Brunswick to name a few in which our interest is no longer active.
